March 30th
Kaden had his pre-op appointment at Huntsman today. He had blood drawn, an EKG, and. chest x-ray. We also talked to the doctor and she answered all the questions we had.
She said that the tumor board felt like his cancer was contained to the one area, but we will not know for sure until they get in there tomorrow and look around. She is optimistic that we will have a good outcome tomorrow so that was comforting.Kaden checks in for his surgery at 6:00am tomorrow with a scheduled start time of 7:30am. She thinks it will take around 6-8 hours.
Kaden is in good spirits. He is not super excited for the surgery, but he is ready to get things moving along and clicking the "un-pause" button on this! The girls made him a "hospital essentials" gift basket and gave it to him tonight. We are spending the night together as a family and soaking up every last minute together before everything gets crazy.
We appreciate everyone's love and support! We feel of everyone's love and prayers for us. For now, this will be the most up to date way to check on how he is doing, as I am not sure I will be checking my phone or replying to texts/phone calls for a bit.
