They finally found a room for Kaden! He is in the ICU. He is pretty drugged up, but able to talk. He is not in any pain so we are happy for that! He also has a pain pump that he can control so if he starts to feel pain he can push a button and get some good meds fast!
He looks so good! Not green like the last time and no nausea so far! He said he is pretty thirsty and has already made a couple of jokes about how sexy he must look. I asked him if he remembers leaving the room to go to the OR and he said nope! He remembers the anesthesiologist giving him the IV drug and nothing else. He asked if we could "get one of those to go" when we leave here and I second that! I would LOVE to have a knockout shot like that hanging around! 😂
We are praying that the nausea stays at bay and that we don't have to have the dreaded NG tube like last time.
The surgeon just came by to check on him and the ICU doctor has been here as well.We are hoping for an uneventful evening and possibly moving him to the regular oncology floor tomorrow afternoon/evening.
